WASHINGTON, D.C (June 1, 2022)- Capitol Seniors Housing (CSH), a leading senior living investment and development firm, is pleased to spotlight various owned properties, managed by exceptional senior living operating partners, were recently recognized by U.S. News and World Report in their 2022 inaugural edition of Best Senior Living. New designations of Best Independent Living, Best Assisted Living, Best Memory Care and Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities were introduced to guide families and seniors to the best health care decisions across the nation.

“Capitol Seniors Housing prides itself on placing seniors first,” says Scott Stewart, founder of Capitol Seniors Housing. “We are thankful to work with such dedicated operating partners that allow us to ensure a high quality of life for seniors across the United States.”

Data was collected from more than 3,000 communities throughout the country and representing more than 80 senior living operators. Eight communities owned by CSH were awarded for their excellence in assisted living or memory care:

  • Arbor Terrace Lakeway (Lakeway, TX), Awarded Best Assisted Living
  • Arbor Terrace Exton (Exton, PA) Awarded Best Assisted Living & Best Memory Care
  • Arbor Terrace Fairfax (Chantilly, VA), Awarded Best Memory Care
  • Arbor Terrace Glenview (Glenview, IL), Awarded Best Memory Care
  • Arbor Terrance Highland Park (Highland Park, IL), Awarded Best Memory Care
  • The Creekside (Woodinville, WA), Awarded Best Independent Living
  • Island House (Mercer Island, WA), Awarded Best Independent Living & Best Assisted Living
  • Mountlake Terrace Plaza (Mountlake Terrace, WA), Awarded Best Assisted Living

To be included in the U.S. News analysis, each community had to participate in a consumer satisfaction survey of residents and their family members or appointed representatives and had to meet certain criteria provided by U.S. News. Consumers were asked to rate their experiences based on the dimensions of care that matter most- the kindness of staff; variety of activities; quality of food and dining experience; local transportation availability; the quality of on-site caregiving and more.

“Families have limited information when comparing providers of independent living, assisted living, memory care or continuing care,” said Ben Harder, managing editor and chief of health analysis at U.S. News in a recent U.S. News press release. “The Best Senior Living ratings help to fill this informational gap with comprehensive and transparent data to help older consumers and their families identify high-quality senior living communities that meet their needs and preferences.”
