ANDOVER, Mass., and WASHINGTON, D.C.  (August 20, 2019) – Capitol Seniors Housing, a leading senior living investment and development firm, announces the opening of Stone Hill at Andover. Located at 141 Elm Street, the new community is just off Interstate 495 and minutes from the quaint shops and restaurants of historical downtown Andover, a northern suburb of Boston.

The 81,500-square-foot community offers 96 units and provides independent living, assisted living, and a specialized program focusing on Alzheimer’s disease and dementia care. The community is operated by The Northbridge Companies, based in Burlington, Mass.

“We believe senior adults and their families deserve the best senior living community possible, which includes nice residential units, wonderful amenities, and engaging programs,” said Scott Stewart, Managing Partner of Capitol Seniors Housing. “When we develop a senior living community, we do more than construct a building – we create a valuable asset for the community to serve senior adults and connect in meaningful ways with the surrounding community.”

Stone Hill at Andover’s interior was designed by the Meyer Senior Living Studio, based in Ardmore, PA. The concept of the design was pulled from the architecture of the surrounding town of Andover, a modern twist on classic American architecture and design.  Inspiration was also pulled from Cape Cod, a frequent vacation spot for residents, as seen in the artwork and accessories.  The interior has bright pops of blue mixed with warm greys and bold rust to complete the inviting home-like feel.

The building also pulled inspiration from the neighboring Addison Gallery of American Art, with its own art gallery on two floors showcasing local artwork. Furthermore, a tribute to the Boston Red Sox baseball team is on display in the sports bar, with a tribute to historic Fenway Park and its famed “Green Monster” and signature “Citco” sign, as the perfect place to watch a sporting event.  Additional amenities include a bistro, activity room, fitness room, theater, salon and courtyard.

Residents will enjoy Northbridge Companies’ holistic programming approach, which acknowledges that residents are varied in their interests. Through the S.T.A.R. Club (Sharp Thinking, Active Residents), residents are able to keep their bodies and their minds active and healthy.

“We are proud to welcome seniors to Stone Hill at Andover, a community designed to complement and serve the community,” said Joe McElwee, Principal – Development, Capitol Seniors Housing. “We’re thankful to community and local leaders who worked with us to make Stone Hill at Andover possible. Now our focus turns to providing quality services and care to senior adults and their families for generations to come.”
