The National Realty Group, MedCore Partners to Expand Houston-Area Footprint

The National Realty Group (TNRG) and MedCore Partners are teaming up to build a new independent living, assisted living and memory care community in Atascocita, Texas, which is near Houston.

Work on the new community is set to begin later this year, with a planned opening date in early 2019, according to a press release.

Residents will pay a monthly rental fee for lodging and services. The community will have access to lifestyle programs, planned events and outings, alongside such amenities as a fitness and wellness center, bistro, courtyard, activity room with a theater and a beauty shop.

The project marks the second Houston-area senior living development for TNRG and MedCore Senior Living. They also are currently building Spring Cypress Assisted Living and Memory Care, an 80-unit community in Cypress, Texas, that is scheduled to open in early 2018.

Developers Plot Turning Ohio Golf Course Into Senior Housing

Senior housing might soon rise on the current site of a golf course in Sugarcreek Township, Ohio.

A group of developers is planning to turn the Rollandia Golf Center into high-end apartments and senior housing, according to Dayton Daily News, a local news publication.

If all goes according to plan, the new community would include 200 independent living, assisted living, and memory care units.

Groundbreaking Set for Community Near Dayton, Ohio

Confluent Development and Harbor Retirement Associates (HRA) are set to break ground soon on HarborChase of Beavercreek, an assisted living and memory care community in Beavercreek, Ohio, a suburb of nearby Dayton.

The retirement community, HarborChase of Beavercreek, will have assisted living and memory care apartments when it opens its doors in the summer of 2018, according to an announcement.

HarborChase of Beavercreek will be managed by HRA, a senior living development and management company based in Vero Beach, Florida. Confluent Development, a real estate investment and development firm, will own and develop the property.

The project marks Confluent’s eleventh senior housing development in the U.S. and its second partnership with HRA. The partners’ previous collaboration, HarborChase of Wildwood in Wildwood, Florida, is planned to open later this year.

Capitol Seniors Housing to Build Two Communities in New Jersey

Senior living investment and development firm Capitol Seniors Housing (CSH) is poised to break ground on two new communities, Chelsea Senior Living of Shrewsbury and Arbor Terrace Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, according to a press release.

CSH is slated to begin construction this month on Chelsea Senior Living of Shrewsbury, a $29.3 million assisted living and memory care community scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2018.

Additionally, the company opened Arbor Terrace Morris Plains in Morris Plains, New Jersey, on June 8.

Construction Underway for New Life Plan Community in Salt Lake City

Workers broke ground this week on an 80-unit life plan community in Salt Lake City.

The community, dubbed Summit Vista, will come with such amenities as a 25-yard lap pool, a fitness center, clubs and activity studios and three restaurants carrying “health-conscious options,” according to a press release.

Summit Vista will also have on-site health services, including primary care, from Intermountain Healthcare.

Real estate investment firm iStar (NYSE: STAR), Garden Company and Methuselah Capital Partners are helping finance and develop the new senior housing.

New Senior Housing Taking Shape Near Denver

A new senior living community is now under construction in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Jackson Creek Senior Living will include assisted living, independent living and memory care units. The senior housing will also come with access to a chapel and theater, a barber and beauty salon, an exercise room, a library and business center, a bistro, a third-story “mountain view” room, store and an in-house radio station, a press release reads.

CSI Construction is developing the community, which will be managed by WellAge Senior Living once it opens.

New Community Opening Outside of San Diego

Douglas Wilson Companies, Milestone Retirement Communities and Sundt Construction are collaborating on new senior housing in Chula Vista, California, which is just outside of San Diego.

The 111-unit community is slated to open with assisted living and memory care services and on-site perks like a dining room and bistro, movie theater, fitness room, an arts and crafts center, barber/beauty salon, activity space and courtyards, according to a press release.

Construction will begin this month and is expected to last until the summer of 2018.

Dominion Senior Living Cuts Ribbon at Tennessee Community

Representatives from Dominion Senior Living recently celebrated the opening of a new $5.2 million assisted living and memory care community in Bristol, Tennessee.

The 60-bed, faith-based community is designed for residents living with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. Seniors who do not need memory care but can benefit from the extra help assisted living provides can also live there.

Amenities include a large courtyard with picnic areas, games and “sensory gardens” that are designed with features to engage memory care residents, according to a press release.
