25 scholarships will benefit high school volunteers in senior living communities

Capitol Seniors Housing is tripling the number of scholarships it plans to award this year to college-bound high school seniors.

The Washington, D.C.-based senior living investment and development firm will give $37,500 in scholarships — 25 scholarships worth $1,500 each — through its Seniors2 program. All awardees must have demonstrated “active, consistent and dedicated” involvement with older adults in communities where the firm owns senior living properties.

Capitol Seniors Housing has opened Arbor Terrace Mount Laurel, an 88-unit seniors housing community located on the eastern outskirts of Philadelphia. The 75,000-square-foot community offers assisted living and memory care services and amenities such as a bistro, theater room, art studio, technology lounge and fitness center. Meyer Senior Living Studio designed the community.
